# License management

> Manage your Elixir license key and store assignment

Your Elixir license key is tied to a single Shopify store's default `.myshopify.com` URL. Manage your licenses at [app.ecomelixir.com/licenses](https://app.ecomelixir.com/licenses).

## Moving your license to another store

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your licenses">
    Go to [app.ecomelixir.com/licenses](https://app.ecomelixir.com/licenses).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Change Store">
    Find the license you want to move and click **Change Store**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the new store URL">
    Enter the store's default `.myshopify.com` URL — **not** a custom domain.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for approval">
    Submit the request. Approval can take up to **24 hours**.
  </Step>

  You can find your store's `.myshopify.com` URL in Shopify admin under **Settings → Domains**.

## Troubleshooting

### "License Required" message

This means the store URL on your license doesn't match the store where the theme is installed. Common causes:

* The license is still assigned to a different store
* You're using a custom domain instead of the `.myshopify.com` URL
* The store transfer hasn't been approved yet

Go to [app.ecomelixir.com/licenses](https://app.ecomelixir.com/licenses) to verify which store your license is assigned to.
